AEQUIPA

Physical activity is a key contributor to healthy ageing. In spite of the widely known beneficial effects, only a small proportion of older adults are physically active. AEQUIPA is a regional prevention research network comprising six universities, two research institutes and the health economy organisation of the Bremen-Oldenburg metropolitan region. The network's core themes are promoting physical activity among older adults (65+).

What Happens to My Data in Health Research? The DigiHero Example

How does research benefit when I participate in a large health study? What exactly is a health study, and what kinds of questions are asked in it?

We’ll explore these questions in depth using the DigiHero cohort study as an example during our live podcast event. Through its research platform, DigiHero reaches approximately 100,000 adults nationwide, many of whom live in the Halle/Saale area. On stage, we’ll discuss how personal data is processed securely and what role it plays in health research. The audience is also welcome to join the discussion and ask questions about data in health research.
